To achieve the best results, we carried out a full professional sanding and refinishing process.
Due to limited space and the amount of furniture on-site, the project had to be completed in two stages. We carefully moved all furniture to one side of the room, completed sanding and finishing on the exposed area, and then repeated the process on the remaining half. This ensured minimal disruption while maintaining a high-quality finish throughout.
Additional care was taken on detailed areas, including the staircase, which required sanding by hand to achieve a consistent result.
Once sanding was complete, we applied a high-quality finishing system:
- Bona Prime Amber to enhance the natural warmth of the oak
- Bona Mega Matt for a durable, low-sheen protective finish
The Result
The transformation was dramatic. The sanding process removed years of wear and staining, revealing the natural beauty of the oak beneath. The new finish enhanced the grain and colour variation while providing strong, long-lasting protection.
